The public sector team of  Landwell - PwC handles all legal and tax issues arising in the sector, which includes Central Government, the Autonomous Regions and  local corporations,  in relation to their directly public side   (Ministries, Councils,  Municipal Authorities, Autonomous Bodies etc) and when they use private legal forms  (Public business corporations, public companies and foundations etc) in order to carry out their activities. This includes healthcare and non-profit organisations.

The scope of our services encompasses legal advice and defence in court: - administrative law, which includes but is not limited to  issues involving Public Administration organisation and personnel, public contracts, particularly infrastructure financing  (public works concessions and public -private collaboration) , modernization of the Administrations (electronic administration), all matters affecting public services and special properties  (mines, woodland, waters etc ) and regulated services,  including the environment, zoning and urban planning. Legal advice and defence on tax matters includes the three typical aspects:  payment under public law (particularly taxes), and prices and  payment  under private law; appeal management and related expenses.

The multidisciplinary nature of our firm enables the wealth of our service offering to be completed through financial and consulting advice on three types of major projects:

  • Infrastructure financing  (economic, financial, legal and tax feasibility).
  • Public Administration modernisation projects  (technological approach, technological property and public procedures). 
  • Project offices through which the Administration outsources technical, economic and legal  coordination with the successful bidders on large public projects.
